Wedding at the Governor’s Club

Hey, friendly reader! My name is Ashton and I am a wedding photographer based out of Nashville Tennessee. I am here to showcase the incredible weddings I get to photograph. My couples love and respect the value of photography. They know that the images they receive are evergreen and so always cherish the moments in-between. It’s all about Kyle and Emmy on this blog and I am so excited to share with you their Wedding at the Governor’s Club in Brentwood, Tennessee!

Like all love stories, they are unique in their own way. Kyle and Emmy met in college (University of Tennessee). Emmy was a freshman and Kyle was a senior, although they do have a mutual connection, Bink, who is Emmy’s brother! One evening, after a fun time with friends Emmy forgot her wallet and all the boys told Kyle he had to be the one to deliver her wallet to her dorm. Of course, Emmy was kind of freaking out since she was already crushing on Kyle. That is what lead to their relationship today. Needless to say, after being together for four years, they knew it was time to “tie the knot” and now, they are married!

Like all wonderful southern weddings, this one was with charm and romance. There was so much excitement going on and the party never stopped. With the weather being perfect, and all events being outdoors, she really wanted to showcase the colors and the theme well. Blush and Navy blue as the color pallet, she took the theme outside and used garden lanterns, an outdoor dance floor, and several variety of floral arrangements. As if the day could not get any better, everyone was here to celebrate love in such a time of chaos. With Emmy being a nurse, all she wanted was to really remind herself the importance of the people around you.

This is why she decided to host such a personable wedding. When I asked her what advice she has for brides, she had said the best answers! Focus on what matters that day. Not the wedding and the details, but the marriage, the relationships, the friendships! Such a lovely answer!
